Mushroom Soup
I’ve never been to New York.
A few weeks ago, it looked like Andrew might take a last minute trip for work. Naturally, I was eager to tag along. Since he’s never been either, we started doing tons of research. What to see, what to do, where to eat, where to drink…and how to do it all in just 5 days (with both of us working during the days). We looked in the typical places – Frommer’s, Lonely Planet. We searched in the more modern directories – Yelp, BlackBook. And, we asked our friends. There was lots of overlap, for sure. But one restaurant seemed to stand out.

Coconut Curry Chicken Soup
Spring is here!
(At least I think it is.)
Fooled by 80 degree temperatures a few weeks ago, many of my fellow Austinites jumped the gun on their Spring planting. It’s so sad to see newly planted landscapes freeze-damaged. A neighbor planted 5 baby fruit trees that warm weekend and, sadly, only one of them survived the following week of freezing temps. Crazy Texas weather…
