Really though, I left for vacation with the best of intentions. And the loftiest of goals.

I made two fabulous appetizers for Bunco the Tuesday before I left…I’d planned to share those with you.

For me, a vacation isn’t successful unless really great food is involved. For our trip to Tulum, I did a little research before leaving to make sure this trip would be a huge success.

On our way to our resort, we took a detour to Playa del Carmen to visit a restaurant I’d seen written up in Budget Travel. Jacques Pepin recommended La Cueva del Chango as one of his favorite restaurants in the world. With a recommendation like that and the amazing photos that accompanied it, I knew we couldn’t pass up a visit to this restaurant.
